An Indian wedding is not one event. It is a baraat, a sangeet, a mehendi, a ceremony and a reception, often across several days, each with its own music, its own traditions and its own crowd. Planet DJ Productions has been playing Indian weddings in the DC Metro area since 1996, from the most traditional celebrations to modern ones.

Live music and lighting
Add live musicians (dhol, tabla, sitar, bansuri and shenai players) and singers who perform traditional Indian music as well as American songs, from soloists and duets to a full 8-piece band. Our own lighting team designs GOBO monograms, pin-spots, bar washes and textured wall and ceiling lighting that match your colors.
MCs who know the traditions
Our MCs and party motivators keep your timeline moving, make the introductions and bring both sides of the family onto the dance floor. Founder DJ Ateet specializes in South Asian weddings (Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi) and works with Persian, Arabic and Latin families too.
How we plan with you
It starts with a personal consultation with you and your family, covering every event from the rehearsal to the reception. We build a custom playlist and a do-not-play list together, and coordinate with your planner, decorator and photographer so the day runs smoothly. Still choosing where to celebrate?
