Born and raised in the DC Metro Area, he’s built a strong following of customers all over the east coast from New York to Florida that hire him for his ability to make wedding events more than an entertaining night but an event that leaves you with memories to cherish for years.
Ateet specializes in International and mixed weddings and works with diverse people of South Asian(Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi), Persian, Arabic, and Latin background to bring the sounds of bhangra, bollywood, latin, and reggae to your unique event. Even though he’s dj’d over 1,000 weddings in his past 12 years of experience, he’s learned that each wedding event is as exceptional and special as the couple is. That’s why he’ll give the bride and groom a personal consultation that touches on every aspect from the rehearsal, cocktail hour, sangeet, wedding, and the reception to turn their vision into a beautiful memory. He will create a customized playlist as well as a “do not” playlist for the evening that fits with the tastes and ambience the couple wants and work with his extensive network of fantastic singers, Bollywood/Bhangra/Belly dancers, and Dhol players to kick off your event into an unforgettable night of fun and excitement.
Ateet’s exceptional professionalism and passion for music shines through at every single one of his events. He’s fully licensed and insured as well as a member of the American Disc Jockey Association showing his commitment for providing quality entertainment and services. He has sold over 1200 copies of his CD, “Badd Boy Bhangra”, since its release this winter; a huge crowd pleaser that is a compilation of the best bhangra remixes he’s created himself and is currently working on his next CD. His passion for music also extends to dance and he’s won several national Bhangra dance competitions most notably Bhangra Blowout in Washington DC and Bhangra Fusion in Michigan.
